Tie 1-1 with Jersey Sky Blue

New York Magic W-League team tied 1-1 with Jersey Sky Blue (the proposed Women's Professional Soccer team/WPS) on Sunday, July 6th at Iona College. Magic earned the one point  and is excited and ready for Virginia on (July 12-13).

Arsenal young star, Gemma Davison (London, England) scored the Magic goal on a beautiful break away in the 21st minute. The game assist came by way of her fellow English star, Mikaela Howell (Basing Stoke, England).

The goal was a memorable goal for Davison at her last game of the season with New York Magic as she is returning to England to play for the U-23 England National team. New York Magic wishes Davison the best of luck in the Nordic Cup tournament.

Three minutes after Magic scored, Sky Blue fought back and scored to tie the game.  The game ended with the score of 1-1 (Game Stats).
